Performing Arts Center Plans Class

Harrisburg Christian Performing Arts Center (HCPAC) will offer an "Adventures of a Comic Book Artist" performing arts class and production for students in grades five to 12. The first class will take place on Monday, Aug. 22, from 6 to 8:30 p.m., and performances will occur on Friday, Nov. 4, at 7 p.m.; Saturday, Nov. 5, at 7 p.m.; and Sunday, Nov. 6, at 2 p.m. The show is a spoof of the comic book genre and focuses on an aspiring comic book artist who must combat a villain through the heroes he draws.

Auditions for the performance will be held after a short introductory period of classes. All students signed up for the class will be fully involved in the experience, and each child is guaranteed a part in the production.

Interested students must complete and print the participation form at https://tinyurl.com/hcpac-comicbookartist and bring it along to the audition. Online registration must be completed at https://thehcpac.org/online-registration prior to the first day the student attends class. While late registrations may be accepted, shirts are only guaranteed to students registered before the first class.

A parent or guardian is required to attend the parent meeting on Aug. 22 from 6 to 6:30 p.m. Any parent or guardian who is unable to attend this meeting must email support@thehcpac.org to schedule a separate meeting.
