Petersheim named to All-ODAC Second Team

Bridgewater College women's lacrosse player Kaitlyn Petersheim, a native of Lititz, was announced as an All-ODAC honoree.

Petersheim earned a spot on the second team after getting a third-team nod last season. She was second on the team with 36 goals, 15 assists and 51 points. She also scooped up 17 ground balls and caused eight turnovers. The junior midfielder registered multi-goal performances in 12 games, scoring at least three goals in six of them. She also pitched in assists in nine games, including four assists to pair with two goals in a 19-7 win against Ferrum. Petersheim was also second on the team with 41 draw controls.

The Eagles finished the season at 10-9 to record the team's first winning season since 2018. The program got the No. 6 seed in the ODAC Tournament and hosted a first-round game, which was the first home postseason contest for the team since 1997. The team prevailed 14-12 over Averett to claim its first postseason home win since 1992.
