Piano and flute students present recital
Juniper Village at Mount Joy hosted a recital presented by the piano and flute students of Carole A. Bubacz, Tania Rush, and Tess Sult. The program was held at 3 p.m. on Nov. 3.
The musicians performing at the event were Addie Hairhoger, Lucy Downing, Maddie Aungst, Dominic Juarbe, Jhasnielle Casseus, Tania Rush, Lindsey Shaud, Alyssa Rush, Stewart Carter, Mikayla Sauder, and Sarah Heinz. The students are from the Lampeter-Strasburg, Donegal, and Elizabethtown Area school districts.
They played compositions by Mier, Beethoven, Bober, McFarlane, Beyer, Handel, Olstad, Saint-Saens, Hague, Haydn, Clementi, Burgmueller, C.P.E. Bach, and Scarlatti. Tania, who is also a flute student of Sult, played a composition for unaccompanied flute and a piano sonata. Lucy performed two piano pieces for left hand alone, which she had learned while recovering from a broken arm.
Refreshments were served following the recital.
