Piano duo to present concert

Lancaster Church of the Brethren, 1601 Sunset Ave., Lancaster, will host a bonus performance on Saturday, May 10, at 7 p.m. to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Starlight Tea Concert Series.

Featured performers will be the piano duo of Stephanie Trick and Paolo Alderighi, who will present their original arrangements of familiar tunes from the early decades of jazz history, remembering greats such as Duke Ellington, Jelly Roll Morton, Fats Waller, Benny Goodman, Louis Armstrong, and Ella Fitzgerald.

Pioneers in the use of four-hands piano in jazz, Trick and Alderighi are known for their arrangements of classics from the stride piano, ragtime, and boogie-woogie traditions, as well as from the Swing Era. They have performed across the United States, Europe, and Japan.

The free Starlight Tea Concert Series is supported by patrons and offerings received at concerts. In addition to the usual tea and cookies, some special desserts will be served following the concert in celebration of the anniversary.
