Pink In The Park Slated

The first-ever Pink in the Park, a 1950s "Grease"-style outdoor party at PeoplesBank Park, 5 Brooks Robinson Way, York, will bring up to 500 adults together for Pink Power's fifth anniversary celebration to raise money for local breast cancer related causes. The event will take place on Thursday, Oct. 21. Doors will open at 5 p.m., and the event will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Attendees are invited to dress casual, don bobby socks and blue jeans, or dress as their favorite character from the movie "Grease." The festivities will include a mix of live and prerecorded entertainment, food stations from nine downtown York restaurants, the traditional celebratory survivor toast, games in the outfield, a live auction, and more. An online auction will run from noon on Tuesday, Oct. 19, through 10 p.m. on Oct. 21.

The organizers will follow the CDC, Pennsylvania Department of Health, and PeoplesBank Park COVID-19 guidelines in effect on the day of the event. As this event will be held outdoors, masks are optional and will be available.
