Police Department Announces Blood Drive

The Manheim Township Police Department will participate in the Bleed Blue Challenge Blood Drive for the third straight year. As part of the challenge, held through Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health, community members are encouraged to donate blood from Jan. 4 through Friday, Jan. 29, letting the donor team know which participating police department they would like to support.

The Manheim Township Police Department will kick off its involvement with a blood drive hosted by Eden Resort & Suites, 222 Eden Road, Lancaster, on Thursday, Jan. 7, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. in the Crystal Ballroom. Donors are asked to use the entrance to the right of the building across from Sheetz.

In addition to Manheim Township, participating police departments are Lancaster City, Millersville Borough, Millersville University, East Lampeter Township, East Hempfield Township, Columbia Borough, Lititz Borough, West Hempfield Township, Northwest Regional, Mount Joy Borough, Pequea Township, Quarryville Borough, and Strasburg Borough, as well as Pennsylvania State Police.
