Poole Forge To Offer Classes

As part of a series of classes being offered this summer at Historic Poole Forge, 1940 Main St., Narvon, "Animals in Winter" will be presented on Wednesday, Aug. 6.

Attendees will learn how animals survive in winter by hibernating, migrating or staying active by studying skins and animal artifacts. The instructor will be Sallie Gregory.

The final program in the series will be on Wednesday, Aug. 13. Attendees will see a demonstration of a working Franklin-era printing press and have the opportunity to help make a print as newspapers did before the Industrial Revolution.

Both classes will take place from 1 to 2 p.m. in the site's pavilion. The programs are free, but donations will be accepted. For more information, call 484-797-5302 or email hpf1940@gmail.com.
