The Popcorn Hat Players children's theater troupe will present "Sleeping Beauty" from Sept. 18 to Oct. 5 on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 10 a.m. and on Saturdays at 1 p.m. at the Gamut Theatre, 15 N. Fourth St., Harrisburg.

Loosely based on the classic fairy tale, the production features a bumbling narrator-turned-prince who tries to rise to heroic heights to save a princess and a sleeping village caught in the spell cast by Fairy Sour Puss. The production includes modern word play and audience participation.

There is an admission fee. Tickets for Wednesday and Thursday shows must be reserved in advance, while Saturday performances are open to walk-ins as well as reservations.
