Sacred Heart Preschool in Lancaster held Pirate Day on Feb. 23, complete with a surprise treasure map. The children followed the treasure map's clues throughout the school, leading them to cross a bridge over shark-infested waters, balance on stepping stones between the jaws of hungry crocodiles, pass a lava-oozing volcano, and other adventures. When they reached the X on the treasure map, they found Mr. X on a treasure chest filled with jewels.

Sacred Heart Preschool, located on Nevin Street in Lancaster city, specializes in learning adventures that maximize a child's natural curiosity. In learning to read and write, students befriend the 26 letters that bring surprise adventures like Pirate Day.
