Presentation to focus on immigration

Grandview Church Lancaster will host a presentation by Joanne Castner about the humanitarian side of immigration. The event will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 11, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in Zerr Hall at the church, 888 Pleasure Road, Lancaster. The event is free of charge.

In this non-political presentation, which Castner has now shared with more than 600 people at various gatherings, Castner will discuss what she learned about immigration firsthand during a May 2022 immersion trip to the southern border of the United States. She will recount the visits she and her group had with local organizations, churches, and individuals who work in El Paso, Texas, and Juarez, Mexico, to provide humanitarian aid to refugees who are fleeing violence, poverty, and climate devastation in their home countries. The presentation will feature a slideshow and video clips.
