Presentation to focus on mill

The Historical Society of the Cocalico Valley (HSCV) will present "Examining the Connections Between Technology, Geography, Culture and Family as Seen Through the Perspective of the Ressler Family at Mascot" on Wednesday, March 26, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 167 E. Main St., Ephrata.

James Landis, executive director of the Ressler Mill Foundation, will explain why the historic Mascot Roller Mills and Ressler Family Home welcomes 3,000 visitors each year. Attendees will hear the story of the water-powered grain mill and the family that preserved it.

The program is free and open to the public. The parking lot and entrance are accessible via the alley behind the church.

For more information about the historical society, visit http://www.cocalicovalleyhs.org or call 717-733-1616.

In the case of inclement weather, the historical society will follow the Ephrata School District's closing decision.
