To promote recycling and celebrate America Recycles Day on Tuesday, Nov. 15, the York County Solid Waste Authority (YCSWA) will sponsor puppet show assembly programs in York County elementary schools from Wednesday, Nov. 9, through Friday, Nov. 18. The recycling-themed program, titled "Magic Pots and Recycled Bottles," was created by Kathleen Jacobs of Kathleen Jacobs and Puppets.

Students will see ordinary household items "recycled" into characters who promote care of the environment through reduction of waste, reuse, and recycling of materials. Jacobs will present the 45-minute program at Kreutz Creek Elementary School and Wrightsville Elementary School.
