Produce Vouchers Available to Seniors

Eligible Chester County seniors may apply to receive vouchers for free locally grown fruits and vegetables through the Pennsylvania Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP).

Each senior may receive five vouchers for purchasing fresh Pennsylvania-grown fruits and vegetables at approved farmers markets. The vouchers may be redeemed through Monday, Nov. 30.

To qualify, people must be age 60 years or older, or they must turn 60 by Thursday, Dec. 31, and they must meet household income eligibility guidelines. For a one-person household, total income cannot exceed $29,526. For a two-person household, total income cannot exceed $40,034.

To obtain a copy of the application form, email mwebb@chesco.org. Forms must be returned before Tuesday, Sept. 15, to the aforementioned email address or by mail.
