Program to examine historical trees

The Friends of the Tanger Arboretum will offer "Historic Trees of Lancaster County: Part 2," a presentation by Len Eiserer, on Saturday, Nov. 4, at 11 a.m. The program will take place at LancasterHistory, 230 N. President Ave., Lancaster.

Attendees will learn about the historical connections between local trees and significant moments in history. Eiserer earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Maine and a doctorate in psychology from Bryn Mawr College. With 38 years of teaching experience, he currently teaches at HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College. Eiserer also maintains the website "Tree Treasures of Lancaster County" and serves on the board of the Friends of the Tanger Arboretum.
