Program to Explore Petroglyphs

Adam Zurn, founder of Uncharted Lancaster, will offer a presentation on the Safe Harbor petroglyphs at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 6, at Sadsbury Friends Meeting, 1089 Simmontown Road, Gap.

The petroglyphs are ancient stone Native American carvings along the lower Susquehanna River, and they make up one of the most significant archaeological sites in the northeastern United States. Zurn will show slides of many of the 1,000 rock carvings and provide handouts, including magnets and replica arrowheads for children.

The presentation is free of charge, and it is geared toward adults and older children. For more information, call 484-985-0454.
