Program to focus on food

LancasterHistory, 230 N. President Ave., Lancaster, will host "Seasonal Foods in the Garden Spot," a Collections Up Close program, on Saturday, Oct. 21, at 2 p.m.

In a relaxed, conversational setting, participants will explore an array of recipes, diaries, photographs, and business records. The event aims to showcase how Lancaster's diverse communities, especially German-speaking immigrants in the 18th century, have uniquely influenced local food traditions.
