Program to focus on hearing assistive technology

The Lancaster County Chapter of the Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) will hold a meeting at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 10, in the Crossings Meeting Room on the second floor of the Calvin G. & Janet C. High Learning & Wellness Center at Landis Homes, 1001 E. Oregon Road, Lititz. The program is free of charge.

Bill Best will discuss "What Is Hearing Assistive Technology and How Can It Help You?" Best completed the HLAA's Network of Consumer Hearing Assistive Technology Trainers (N-CHATT) program and has served as HLAA-Pennsylvania's hearing assistive technology coordinator since 2013. N-CHATT training includes hearing aids, cochlear implants, assistive listening devices and systems, alerting and signaling devices, and telephone technologies.

The presentation will feature many assistive devices and will include a question-and-answer time.
