Fairmount to host programs

Fairmount will host a presentation by Conestoga Valley Christian Community Services (CVCCS) titled "Seven Marks of Effective Charity." The presentation will be held on Thursday, April 17, at 1 p.m. in the Crest View Gathering Room, 1100 Farm Crest Drive, on the east side of the Fairmount campus.

The Rev. Jonathan Barrett, CVCCS' executive director, will outline CVCCS' core philosophy on holistic charity, offering both practical and spiritual guidance for those seeking to serve others with compassion, dignity, and long-term impact. Rooted in biblical faith, the organization believes true charity fosters transformation through relationships and accountability. CVCCS provides food, clothing, mentoring, and ministry to struggling neighbors.

A&E Audiology and Hearing Aid Center will offer a program on hearing health on Monday, April 21, at 2 p.m. The seminar will be held in the Wheat Ridge Gathering Room at 2100 Wheat Ridge Drive on the west side of the Fairmount campus.

Dr. Kamal Elliot, owner of A&E Audiology, will speak about the symptoms of hearing loss and its connection to dementia. Dr. Bethany Weaver will also assist in the discussion, which will seek to provide a deeper understanding of how hearing loss impacts overall well-being.

The seminar is free, but registration is requested.
