Prospective students invited to college fair

More than 100 colleges, universities, and technical schools will be represented at the York County Regional Fair on Monday, Oct. 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. at York College of Pennsylvania's Grumbacher Sport and Fitness Center. Sponsored by the Pennsylvania Association for College Admission Counseling (PACAC), the fair is open to high school students in 10th, 11th, and 12th grades and their parents, as well as transfer students and adult learners.

Representatives from local colleges as well as schools up and down the East Coast - from the University of Connecticut to the University of Alabama - will be on hand to speak with attendees. Larger schools like the University of Pittsburgh, University of Oregon, and Ohio University will be represented, as well as smaller colleges like Gettysburg, Roanoke, and Ithaca. A complete list of colleges and universities attending the York County Regional Fair is available at https://tinyurl.com/YorkCountyRegionalFair2023.

Those planning to attend should register for a barcode at http://www.StriveFair.com. Students or parents will share their barcode with college representatives, who will scan it to send more information about their schools. The day after the fair, a report with information about each college that scanned the barcode will be sent.

The college fair is free and open to the public, and registration is not required. York College is located at 441 Country Club Road, York.
