Donna J. Burkholder, LCSW, recently announced the opening of her new private practice in Lancaster.

A psychotherapist specializing in depression, grief and self-esteem issues, Burkholder has more than 25 years' experience in the mental health field. She worked for two years at Greater Lakes Mental Health Center in Tacoma, Wash., and for four years on the psychiatric units at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle and at The University of Washington teaching hospital before opening a private practice and counseling patients for 15 years in King County. She also brings expertise in anxiety, coping skills, family conflict, life transitions, spirituality and women's issues.

Additionally, she is available to provide supervision for those needing hours for licensing or provide consultation for those who want to process dynamics of their own practices. She can also support those with loved ones with mental illness.
