Public Library Posts Calendar

Lancaster Public Library, 125 N. Duke St., Lancaster, is open for in-person access to library materials. The library will also offer a variety of activities and programs to the community.

M Is for Mindfulness will be held on Mondays at 10:30 a.m. for families with young children. The program offers an opportunity to meditate each month.

Several story time programs will be available, and siblings are welcome to attend. Baby Story Time will be held on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. for children under age 1. Preschool Story Time will be held on Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m. for children ages 3 to 6. Pajama Story Time will take place at Musser Park at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays for people of all ages, weather permitting. Toddler Time will also be held at Musser Park on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. for children ages 1 to 3, weather permitting.

Anime After School will be offered to teens ages 12 to 18 on Thursdays at 4 p.m. to celebrate Japanese culture and entertainment.

Click Clique: A Photography Club for Teens will gather at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 6. Participants will receive technical instruction and feedback on their photos. This program is open to those ages 13 to 18.

Teen Gaming will take place at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 10, for teens ages 13 to 18. The program will feature a variety of gaming consoles and more than 100 games to play.

Reading with Gracie the Dog will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13. Local author Sandy Asher and her registered therapy dog, Gracie, will be at the library to listen to children ages 5 to 9 read.

Let's Draw In Person Together will be offered to school-age children who like to sketch, doodle, or draw at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 17.

The Teen unBook Club for teens ages 13 to 18 will meet at 4 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 22, to pick a theme each month, and participants will then pick any book that fits the theme to share with the group.

LEGO Lab will take place at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 23. Families will use a variety of building toys.

Picking Up STEAM will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 27, for children ages 3 to 12. The program will include science experiments, engineering challenges, math activities and process art.
