Public Safety Grants Awarded

Public safety grants have been awarded in York County by the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency. The total for the grants is over $4 million.

Through the Gun Violence Investigation and Prosecution Grant Program, $1.5 million was awarded to the York County commissioners' Firearm Investigation and Prosecution Solutions. The City of York Law Enforcement Support Initiative received $1.08 million through the Local Law Enforcement Support Grant Program.

The Women's Reentry Services Initiative provided $100,000 for The Program for Female Offenders of South Central Pennsylvania Inc.'s Project New Beginnings. State Children's Advocacy Center Funds were awarded to York County Children's Advocacy Center for Forensic Interviewing Services in the amount of $46,998.

Federal Victims of Crime Act, State Rights and Services Act, and State Victims of Juvenile Offenders funds were also awarded; the Young Women's Christian Association of York received $30,688, and the York County commissioners received $1.27 million.
