Quarryville Library Posts Holiday Events

The Quarryville Library Center, 357 Buck Road, Quarryville, will host several holiday programs. To register for events, visit http://www.quarryvillelibrary.org and click on "Events."

People may decorate gingerbread houses at the library on Saturday, Dec. 20, at 10:30 a.m. Materials needed to build the house, including walls and glue, will be provided, along with some decorating treats, but each family should bring a bag of decorating treats that can be shared with others, such as candies or sprinkles.

Claws for Claus will take place on Friday, Dec. 19, from 4 to 6 p.m. Mrs. Claus and a mystery guest will be at the library for an evening of stories, crafts, and fun. Photo opportunities and face painting will be available.

A Craft Cafe will meet on Wednesday, Dec. 17, from 2 to 4 p.m. The program will provide a relaxed environment for adults to work on their own craft projects or participate in a provided craft activity.

The library accepts nonperishable food donations and other items for Solanco Neighborhood Ministries. Needed items include cans of cream of mushroom soup, 12-ounce cans of evaporated milk, canned green beans, Triscuits and Wheat Thins, mayonnaise, toothbrushes, toothpaste, 10-ounce cans of tomato soup, 10-ounce cans of chicken noodle soup, cans of seafood chowder/soup, microwave popcorn, and fruit snacks.
