Railroad-centered trip planned

The Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania has scheduled a Boonton and Black River Ramble to neighboring New Jersey on Saturday, June 14.

Travelers on this customized day trip will take a private tour of the historic railroad collection of the United Railroad Historical Society of New Jersey in Boonton, N.J., including restoration projects in progress. A catered lunch will be included and provided on-site in the society's yard.

After lunch, attendees will take an hourlong train ride on the Black River & Western Railroad in Flemington, N.J. The railroad was founded in the early 1960s by a group of friends with an interest in steam railroading. Dinner will be included at the Clinton Station Diner in a restored 1927 train car.
