Railroad Museum Posts Day Trip

The Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania has scheduled its second of several customized rambles for 2026. The Reading & Jim Thorpe Ramble will take place on Saturday, Sept. 19.

The day will feature a round-trip train ride on the Reading Blue Mountain & Northern Railroad from Reading to Jim Thorpe, a historic borough in the Pocono Mountains known for its Victorian architecture, and lunch at the Broadway Grille in Jim Thorpe. The trip will also include a roundtrip train ride on the Lehigh Gorge Scenic Railway, which follows the Lehigh River over bridges, through Glen Onoko, and into the Lehigh Gorge State Park, and it will end with dinner at the Saucony Creek Franklin Station Brew Pub, located in a building once used as a passenger station by the Reading Company.
