Railroad Ramble scheduled

The Friends of the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania have scheduled their first Ramble of 2024, the Mason-Dixon Ramble on Sunday, May 19.

Travelers will ride the rails north of the Mason-Dixon Line in Pennsylvania on the Northern Central Railway, where the train ride will follow the route of the original railroad. A photo runby is slated here, and the conductor will present a narration of the history of the towns along the tracks. South of the Mason-Dixon Line, travelers will ride on the Walkersville Southern Railroad through farmland in Maryland and may photograph the locomotive move from the train yard to the station.

Also included in this customized day Ramble are roundtrip, chartered motorcoach transportation from Lititz or Harrisburg, lunch at a local restaurant in New Freedom, dinner at the historic Glen Rock Mill Inn, all taxes and gratuities for included features and a travel escort.

There is a discount for current members of the Friends of the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania. Travelers must register before Friday, Feb. 16. For complete details, visit http://www.rrmuseumpa.org.
