Recreation department sets egg hunt

The Manheim Township Parks and Recreation Department will host its fifth annual community egg hunt on Saturday, April 12, from 1 to 3 p.m. The event will take place exclusively on the turf fields of the Manheim Township Athletic Complex, 2883 Weaver Road, Lancaster.

The egg hunts will officially start at 1:30 p.m. Designated time slots will be assigned based on age groups. Children age 2 and under, as well as those ages 3 and 4, will begin first in separate hunting areas. Following them, the hunts for kids ages 5 and 6 and kids ages 7 and 8 will take place. Guests are invited to bring their own baskets to collect eggs.

In addition to photo opportunities with the holiday bunny, the event will include crafts, egg-themed games, vendors, music provided by a DJ, and two face painters. Free popcorn will be provided, and additional food will be available for purchase.
