Red Kettle Campaign concludes

This year's Manheim Area Red Kettle Campaign brought in donations totaling $5,000 for the Salvation Army Manheim Service Area. The Salvation Army fund helps to pay utility, medical, or rent bills for people in Manheim Central School District who are going through a hard time financially.

This year, kettles were located at Longenecker's True Value, Hilltop Acres Farm Market, and Pleasant View Communities. Ringers were provided by the Manheim Rotary Club, Interact Club at Manheim Central High School, and the following churches: Salem United Methodist Church (UMC), Trinity Evangelical Congregational, Zion Lutheran, East Fairview Church of the Brethren, St. Paul's United Church of Christ, Manheim Brethren in Christ, and Water's Edge Ministries.

To donate, contact the service area coordinator, the Rev. John Laughlin, at Salem UMC at 717-665-2331 or pastorjohn@salemmanheim.org.
