Reider Chosen As Rookie Of The Year

Penn State Harrisburg's Steph Reider received Rookie of the Year honors from the North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC). The freshman's batting average of .571 ranked second in the conference, while her 46 hits topped all players.

Among those hits, Reider finished the year with 12 doubles, a triple, and three homers. Reider's top outing came in a 4-for-4 performance against SUNY Morrisville where she hit two doubles and a homer and drove in three runs.

Reider also received the 2021 All-Conference First Team designation for collegiate softball. She is only the second player in the history of Penn State Harrisburg softball to receive the Rookie of the Year award. In April, she was also recognized with NEAC Player of the Week honors.

Reider is a 2020 graduate of Donegal High School and a resident of Maytown.
