Ribbon-Cutting Event Set For Art Installation

The ribbon-cutting event for "Art Heals," a large-scale public art installation, will take place on First Friday, June 4, from 5 to 8 p.m. "Art Heals" is located outside Pennsylvania College of Art & Design, 204 N. Prince St., Lancaster, and in the College Art Garden, located at the corner of Prince and Chestnut streets in downtown Lancaster.

The installation features works by Jennifer Quigley, artist and registered expressive arts therapist. Quigley is the inaugural artist in residence of the college's Healing Arts Residency, an ongoing partnership between medical facilities, key community leaders, and the art and design education community. Its goal is to develop initiatives that inspire creative practices and promote community healing, wellness, coping, and personal growth.

Ceremonies will be followed by live music by Heather Vidal.
