RSO Announces 2022-23 Season

The Reading Symphony Orchestra (RSO) has announced its 2022-23 season, taking place at the Santander Performing Arts Center, 700 Penn St., Reading. Celebrating 110 seasons, RSO will once again bring internationally acclaimed guest artists to the stage. Favorites include pianists Jon Kimura Parker and Terrence Wilson; cellist Zlatomir Fung, gold medalist of the Tchaikovsky International Cello Competition; violinist Keila Wakao, first prize junior winner of the Menuhin International Violin Competition; percussion soloist Lisa Pegher; and Bandoneon performer JP Jofre.

The regular season will open on Saturday, Sept. 24, with Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1. The regular season will continue with Holst's "The Planets" on Saturday, Nov. 5; Vivaldi's "The Four Seasons" on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2023; Brahms' Symphony No. 4 on Saturday, March 4, 2023; "A London Symphony" on Saturday, April 1, 2023; and "The Three-Cornered Hat" on Saturday, May 20, 2023.

The New Year's Eve concert on Saturday, Dec. 31, will feature the Arrival, an ABBA tribute band. The spring pops concert scheduled for Saturday, April 29, 2023, will feature Broadway performers Lisa Vroman and Doug LaBrecque in "Classic Broadway."
