Saint Patrick's Day Parade winners posted

The 39th York Saint Patrick's Day Parade took place on March 15. An estimated 15,000 people turned out for the event.

The masters of ceremonies were Lori Burkholder and Michael Fuller from WGAL TV 8, and the judges were Regina Garrett, senior vice president of operations for Ace Distributing; Michael Hady, CEO of the Powder Mill Foundation; and Shea Juergens, director of special initiatives for the York Water Company. The judges were representatives of the parade sponsors.

In the Decorated Vehicle - Commercial category, Martin's Snacks placed first, and Ace Distributing received honorable mention.

In the Decorated Vehicle - Non-Commercial category, Explore York won first place, and honorable mentions went to Shannanigans and the York County Corvette Club.

Old Fire Farts of York County placed first for Antique Vehicle.

For Individual/Family Group, Miss Pennsylvania Teen 2024 Arianna Spurlin was the first-place finisher, with the Miss York County organization receiving honorable mention.

In the Best Float category, first place went to Youth Development Center, and honorable mentions were awarded to Penn State York and Holy Trinity Catholic School.

The Nonprofit Organization winners were Star Lance Farm Riding Team in first place and the 87th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry Company C, York State Fair, and OLLI at Penn State York with honorable mentions.

In the Honor Guard category, Cedar Cliff High School JROTC placed first, and William Penn Senior High School JROTC received honorable mention.

The Media category honorees were WGAL TV 8 in first place and 96.1 SOX with honorable mention.

In the Irish Dance Group category, Ni Riain School of Irish Dance placed first, and Doherty Petri School of Irish Dance won honorable mention.

The Best of Parade winner was the Manheim Central Wonder Wheels.
