Salvation Army Presents Scholarships

The Salvation Army of Lancaster has announced that it awarded a total of $26,000 in Wolf/Stratton Scholarship funds to 11 students this year. Funded through legacy gifts of the Wolf and Stratton families, hundreds of these scholarships have been given over more than 20 years. Recipients are selected by a committee of local professionals from the education and business communities. The scholarships are supported by the Salvation Army's local Advisory Board, whose chairperson is Curt Myers, president and COO of Fulton Bank.

This year's scholarship winners are Elise Balmer, Angellia Brenneman, Alyssa Carney, Jessica Geary, Hannah Miller, Giovanna Poehler, Felicia Russo, Alenis Serrano, Annelise Seubert, Joseph Sharp, and Dayton Stauffer. They were honored for their perseverance, diligence, and work ethic during a difficult year, noted Maj. Dean Satterlee, commanding officer and city coordinator of the Salvation Army of Lancaster.
