Community members are invited to write to Santa in braille during the holiday season. Although the program is geared toward children who are blind or vision-impaired, it is open to anyone.

Letters should explain why the writer deserves to be included on Santa's "nice list" this Christmas, noted Dennis Steiner, president and CEO of VisionCorps. All letter writers will receive a response in braille and a gift.

Participants may send letters to Santa's attention in the care of Erika Rothermel at VisionCorps, 244 N. Queen St., Lancaster, PA 17603. For more information, call 717-205-4158.

Additionally, large-print 2022 calendars are now available from VisionCorps. The calendar is 21.5 by 17 inches when opened, and each date square is 2.25 by 2.75 inches. The inside calendar pages are in black and white for contrast, and the numbers are large and in bold print to make them easier to see. The cover of the calendar is in color.
