Bart-Colerain Elementary third-grade teachers Greg and Sheila Schmitt are recipients of WITF Teacher Impact Awards. WITF, a public broadcasting television station in Harrisburg, partnered with Rotary District 7390 to honor teachers in seven counties, including the Schmitts, for their "exemplary dedication to their students and community."

At a recent virtual Solanco School Board meeting, superintendent Brian Bliss and school board members expressed their appreciation to the Schmitts for their instructional excellence and their commitment to their students.

Teacher Impact Awards honor educators who have made a significant difference in the lives of their students, according to WITF. Educators currently teaching kindergarten through 12th grade are eligible for consideration.
