Students at St. Joan of Arc School participated in a variety of recent special events and activities.

The Pre-3 class enjoyed Pajama and Pancake Day, during which they celebrated the letter "P." Parent volunteers assisted at the event.

Another recent observance was the Lunar New Year.

Additionally, Fran Chardo, Dauphin County district attorney, presented a Safe2Say Something assembly. Safe2Say Something is a youth violence prevention program run by the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General. The program teaches youths and adults how to recognize warning signs, especially on social media, from individuals who may be a threat to themselves or others and to say something before it is too late.

Students from St. Joan of Arc School and Parish and Saint Paul the Apostle Church in Annville participated in the closing service of the Forty Hours Devotion. Bishop Gainer presided over the service, which was held at Saint Paul the Apostle. The Forty Hours Devotion has been practiced since at least the 16th century, when it was observed as reparation for the sins of the community and included prayer for protection during war.
