School provides food boxes for local families

Bainbridge Elementary School held a Thanksgiving food drive from Nov. 6 to 14, aimed at supporting local families during the holiday season. The school rallied together to collect nonperishable food items, including cereal, soup, canned vegetables, macaroni and cheese, stuffing, and mashed potatoes.

By the conclusion of the drive, a total of 321 items had been collected. These items were used to create Thanksgiving meal packages for six local families in need.

The food drive engaged Elizabethtown Area School District's core benefits-based accountability principle of community connections, whereby students have an opportunity to be a meaningful part of their school communities.
