To kick off Catholic Schools Week, Seven Sorrows of the Blessed Virgin Mary (SSVM) Catholic School, 360 E. Water St., Middletown, will hold an open house on Sunday, Nov. 14, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. During the event interested families are invited to tour the school, which offers classes for students in preschool through eighth grade. Visitors should meet at the main entrance.

Also on Nov. 14, the school will hold a multicultural potluck picnic in the school parking lot from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. SSVM families are invited to share traditional dishes from their original or adopted culture or family favorite food items.
