Bainbridge Scouts BSA Troop 162 will host an open house recruitment event on Saturday, Jan. 16, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Salt Shaker Building, located on River Road (Route 441) in Bainbridge. Young men ages 11 to 17 and their parents are invited to attend.

There will be an information area set up for parents to learn about Troop 162 and the activities that the troop has participated in throughout the years. Scout leaders will be available to answer questions.

During the event, current Scouts will be working on a community service project that will benefit the Bainbridge community. The Scouts will lead team-building games that visitors can participate in. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, attendees should wear a face covering and maintain social distancing.
