The Senior Connections group will meet at Conestoga Mennonite Church, 2779 Main St., Morgantown, on Thursday, May 11. Lunch will be served at noon, followed by the program.

Guest speaker will be Shirley Hershey Showalter, an award-winning educator and author. Formerly professor of English and then president of Goshen College, Showalter has returned to Lancaster County where she she grew up as a 10th-generation descendent of Mennonite immigrants.

She is the author of "Blush: A Mennonite Girl Meets the Glittering World" and co-author of "The Mindful Grandparent: The Art of Loving Our Children's Children."

People age 55 and over are welcome to attend.
