Seniors of the Month honored

Cameron Thompson and Reagan Ibach have been selected as Seniors of the Month for December at Manheim Central High School (MCHS). The Women's Club of Manheim sponsors the Girls of the Month, and the Rotary Club of Manheim sponsors the Boys of the Month. The Seniors of the Month are chosen by the professional staff of the high school based on academic achievement, character, and involvement within the school and community.

Cameron, 17, is the son of Jason and Taura Thompson of Manheim. He plays varsity baseball and was a second team Section 3 All-Star for 2024. Cameron is involved in National Honor Society (NHS), Math Honor Society, English Honor Society, and Spanish Club. He was recognized with the ninth-grade MCHS English Award and the 11th-grade MCHS Writing Award, and he scored in the 96th percentile on the Level 2 National Spanish Exam. In the community, Cameron is involved in the annual baseball leaf-raking effort supporting MCFEE, has been a volunteer coach for MCHS basketball and baseball youth camps, serves as a MCFEE student trustee, and participated in volunteer activities with NHS, including assisting with the spring play and serving concessions at a bingo event. He plans to attend college, and he is considering a major in computer science, computer engineering, or environmental engineering.

Reagan, 18, is the daughter of Shannon and Jason Ibach of Manheim. She is the secretary of Student Council and a member of the varsity track and cross-country teams, Interact Club, Math Honor Society, and National English Honor Society. She was selected for the homecoming court. In the community, Reagan is a student representative for MCFEE, and she volunteers at Pleasant View, the Star Barn, and Home on Ferdinand through the Interact Club. She plans to attend college to study sports medicine and athletic training.
