Seniors of the Month Recognized

Avery Kirchner and Ginevra Conigliaro have been selected as December's Seniors of the Month at Manheim Central High School.

The Girls of the Month are sponsored by the Manheim Women's Club and are recognized at the club's meeting, which includes a speaker, refreshments, and a recognition gift. The Boys of the Month are sponsored by the Rotary Club of Manheim. Both students are invited to attend a luncheon at Pleasant View Town Square North held in the Hearth and Harrow Dining room during the month they are chosen. Seniors of the Month are chosen by the professional staff of the high school based on academic achievement, character, and involvement within the school and community.

Avery, 18, is the son of Chad and Kim Kirchner of Manheim. For the past four years, Avery has been actively involved in FFA, swim team, and the rifle team. This October, Avery competed at the National FFA Convention for Ag Mechanics, attaining the silver level as an individual and the bronze level with his team. Outside of school, Avery is involved with the youth group at Calvary Church and helps with the sound and lighting during services. Upon graduation, Avery plans to continue to grow the lawn care and landscape business Kirchner Brothers Lawn Care, which he owns with his twin brother, Chase.

Ginevra, 17, is the daughter of Rosalia Marchiano and Alessandro Conigliaro. Throughout high school, Ginevra has been a member of Student Council and is participating in Link Crew this year, a leadership branch of Student Council that uses peer mentoring to guide freshmen through their first year. She is also a member of the Interact Club. Ginevra's future plans include attending HACC for two years while working and then transferring to a new college, with an interest in becoming a dental hygienist.
