SFMS To Host Special Events

Susquehanna Folk Music Society (SFMS) will offer two special events in December. On Sunday, Dec. 12, an online performance will take place, followed by an in-person concert on Friday, Dec. 17.

On Dec. 12, a performance of original, traditional, and instrumental folk music will feature Tanner Bingaman, the winner of the 2021 SFMS Emerging Artist Showcase. Bingaman is a central Pennsylvania multi-instrumentalist, folk musician, and songwriter.

The concert on Dec. 17 will showcase a night of lively American, Canadian, and Celtic fiddle music and songs by Joe Newberry and April Verch. The performance will begin at 7:30 p.m. in The Studio at the Appell Center for the Performing Arts, 50 N. George St., York.
