The first Englewood Makers Market collected 87 pairs of socks and raised $100 for Shepherd's Closet, a free clothing ministry at Trinity United Methodist Church in Hummelstown.

The Dec. 4 event featured 19 area makers. Vendors and guests were asked to donate new socks for children and adults.

The Englewood, located at 1219 West End Ave., Lancaster, is a historic barn restored into a venue that hosts weddings, private events and live concerts. The site also includes a craft brewery and a restaurant serving American fare.
