Shop With a Cop with Pennsylvania State Police Troop J, Lancaster, will take place on Saturday, Dec. 3. Participating children will be paired with law enforcement officers and will shop at Kohl's in East Lampeter Township. Each child will be given a gift card to shop for his or her immediate family for Christmas. The event will conclude with gift wrapping and lunch, along with a visit from Santa.

The program aims to impact children in Lancaster County who have had police contact or have been victims of unfortunate circumstances during the past year. Selection is not solely based on financial need, but also has the goal to foster positive relationships between youths and law enforcement personnel.
