Siblings named Students of the Month

Elizabethtown Area High School has recognized Alison Fink and Dalton Fink as its Rotary Club Students of the Month for January. This honor celebrates students who demonstrate excellence in academics, leadership, and community involvement, highlighting their contributions to the school and broader community.

Alison and Dalton are the children of Ronald and Jodi Fink of Elizabethtown.

Alison has been listed on the honor roll throughout high school, earning recognition as an AP Scholar and induction into the National Honor Society. She has received underclassman awards in subjects such as Introduction to Health Sciences, Honors Human Anatomy and Physiology, Advanced Placement (AP) Calculus AB, Honors Chemistry, and College in High School Psychology.

Outside the classroom, Alison serves as captain of the cross-country team and competes at the varsity level in both swimming and track and field. She also mentors through the Jumpstart program and contributes to the May Day Student Council Committee as a chair member.

Alison's community service includes volunteering as a swim coach for the Elizabethtown Aquatic Club and Mount Joy Swim Team, as well as assisting at the Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. She is a member of Mary Mother of the Church.

She plans to attend college to further her education and her athletic career.

Dalton has earned honor roll recognition in ninth, 10th, and 11th grades and is a member of the National Honor Society. He has also received multiple underclassman awards in subjects such as Honors World History and Forensic Chemistry.

He is captain of the varsity cross-country team, through which he was named to Lancaster-Lebanon Section 2 All-Star team, as well as a member of the varsity swim and baseball teams. Dalton serves as a culture captain for the Student Lighthouse Team, mentors through the Jumpstart Program, and aids the Athletic Support Team.

His community involvement includes volunteering as a swim coach for the Elizabethtown Area Aquatic Club and Mount Joy Swim Team. He also assists with setup for the high school baseball team's annual library book sale and is an instructor for the team's summer youth camp. He interns with Clear Wealth Partners Investment Strategies. He is a member of Mary Mother of the Church.

Dalton plans to attend a college to pursue a degree in business administration while continuing his athletic career.
