The Paxton Ministries board of directors recently received Jodie Smiley's notice of retirement as executive director of Paxton Ministries. She will continue in her role as executive director through January 2022.

Smiley worked for Paxton Ministries for 11 years. In addition to ensuring that Paxton Ministries is on a firm financial footing, Smiley and her team led the organization through the COVID-19 pandemic.

The board has appointed an ad hoc search committee, which is comprised of six board members, and two former board members who were involved in the search that brought Smiley to Paxton Ministries. The board has selected MHS Consulting to lead the search and selection process.
