Solanco 4-H Club to meet

The Solanco 4-H Community Club will hold an organizational meeting on Monday, March 13, at 7 p.m. The meeting will take place in the cafeteria at the Solanco High School, 585 Solanco Road, Quarryville, and is open to all youths ages 8 to 18. Attendees should enter the high school through the row of glass doors on the Solanco Road side of the building.

Attendees will learn about 4-H; meet the club officers and leaders; and discover opportunities available in the club, county, and state for members. At the meeting, members will also select projects to allow project leaders time to request materials.

The club will meet on the second Monday of each month at 7 p.m. through August. Through June, the club will meet at the Solanco High School cafeteria. In July and August, the club will meet in the Chestnut Level Family Life Center, which is located across the street from Chestnut Level Presbyterian Church, 1068 Chestnut Level Road, Quarryville. Projects being offered to regular members may include sewing, cross-stitch, archery, small engines, pet care, cupcake decorating, and ceramics. A separate Cloverbud program for children ages 5 to 7 will also be offered.
