Solanco's golfers opened Section Two golf action at Iron Valley Golf Course on Aug. 19, where they finished with a 5-0 sweep. The Mules edged Elizabethtown by a single stroke (365-366) and cruised past Garden Spot (380), CV (392), Ephrata (432), and Manheim Central (439).

Two-time Section Two scoring leader Logan Wagner carded the low round of the day, shooting 81. He was followed by Brayden Herr (87), Andy Teaman (91), and freshman Wyatt Landis (106). Hudson Brown (108) and Nathan Tucker (112) also competed.

"This was a good start on perhaps the toughest course we will see this year," said head coach Greg Minnich. "Logan finished strong, enabling us to pull out the one stroke victory. Brayden's score was 17 strokes better than last year on this course, and Andy improved by 11."
