Solanco Golfers Off To 10-0 Start

Solanco's golf team continued its hot start to the 2021 season with its second 5-0 finish. At Sunset Golf Course in Middletown on Aug. 28, the Mules carded a 337 team score to defeat hosting Elizabethtown (345), CV (362), Garden Spot (380), Manheim Central (406), and Ephrata (407). The result pushed the team's overall record to 10-0. E-town holds down second place at 8-2.

Logan Wagner posted the low score of the day with his two over par round of 72. Brayden Herr (84), Andy Teaman (89), and Hudson Brown (92) rounded out the counters while Wyatt Landis (95) and Anna Sexton (104) also competed.

"That is the lowest score we have shot since 2014, when we had 337 on two different occasions," noted head coach Greg Minnich. "Brayden carded his best round ever in league competition with Hudson and Wyatt playing well in their second varsity competition.

"I would also like to congratulate former Solanco golf standout Connor Sheehan, the current head coach at Manheim Central, for picking up his first win."
